Choose for the way you use your bathroom
Taps and shower fittings bring the design together, but their proportions, controls and compatibility matter as much as their finish. A carefully chosen fitting should feel comfortable every day and suit the plumbing behind it.

Match the basin and tap
Consider spout height, reach and where the water lands inside the basin. A tall tap may suit a countertop bowl, while an inset basin may need a different arrangement. The combination should leave room for washing without unnecessary splashing.
Wall-mounted taps give a clean appearance, but their position, concealed connections and basin height need planning before the wall is finished. Also check tap holes, the waste fitting and overflow compatibility.
Exposed or concealed shower fittings?
Exposed fittings keep the valve body visible and generally easier to reach for replacement. They can create a refined finish without the additional wall work of a concealed system.
Concealed fittings leave the controls and outlets visible while hiding the valve body within the wall. We plan the wall depth, compatible body and trim, pipework and waterproofing connections before tiling.
Many concealed systems allow routine servicing through the front trim, but access depends on the product and the fault. Do not assume every repair can be made without opening the wall. Replacement-part availability is part of the choice.
Thermostatic or manual controls?
A thermostatic mixer regulates the mix of hot and cold water to help maintain the selected temperature within its operating conditions. A manual mixer relies on you adjusting that mix.
Temperature stops and other safety features vary by model. They need correct installation and commissioning; no fitting should be described as an unconditional guarantee against scalding. Thermostatic and concealed are separate choices: either exposed or concealed fittings can be thermostatic.
Overhead showers and hand showers
An overhead shower can provide a generous spray, while a hand shower offers flexibility for rinsing and cleaning. Consider head position, user height and whether controls are easy to reach without standing in the initial spray.
Check the flow requirements of each outlet and any intended simultaneous use. A larger head does not automatically give a better shower if the supply cannot support it. Coordinate the shower flow with drainage capacity too.
Check the supply before selecting the product
The available pressure and flow, pipework and hot-water system affect which fittings will work well. We compare the product requirements with the existing installation, including hot-water delivery when more than one outlet is used.
Moving controls or choosing concealed fittings may add plumbing and wall preparation costs. These should be considered alongside the product price within the renovation proposal.
Finishes that stay coherent
Chrome, brushed tones, warm metallic finishes and matt black can each work beautifully. Compare samples and product specifications: similarly named finishes from different ranges may not match exactly.
Use the cleaning method approved for the selected finish. A soft cloth and regular gentle care can help; aggressive cleaners, abrasives and household descaling remedies may damage some surfaces. Keep model details for future cartridges, seals and other parts.

Combina bien lavabo y grifo
